Business Development Associate - Chicago

BuzziSpace is looking for a Business Development Associate for Chicago.

To support the dynamic growth and expansion of our North American market, the Business Development Associate Chicago will uncover new opportunities and support current projects. The primary focus of this position is to drive BuzziSpace sales through relationships with various stakeholder and influencers.

This position will report to the Regional Sales Manager Central.

Role and responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth execution of the sales cycle through a consultative approach
  • Develop an annual strategic plan for the territory to meet sales targets
  • Support and develop an assigned roster of A&D, Dealer, PM Firm & End User accounts
  • Maintain an active opportunity pipeline of at least 2x sales goal
  • Achieve expert level BuzziSpace brand and product knowledge
  • Learn and master all BuzziSpace acoustic tools and presentations
  • Schedule and execute training, site/showroom tours, and marketing events with all stakeholders
  • Build and sustain industry networks by participating in professional organizations: IIDA, ASID, CoreNet
  • Manage opportunity specification, quoting and communication activity in partnership with the High Point Customer Service team
  • Responsible for completing all standard processes and forms for custom, sampling and large project
  • 25% Travel regionally and nationally with requirement for international travel at least one time per year

Your profile

  • Contract/Commercial Furniture Industry Knowledge
  • 5 Years Sales Experience in the Contract Furniture industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree – Marketing, Business or Interior Design
  • MS Office Suite, CRM tool experience
  • Prospecting Skills, Sales Planning
  • The motivation for Sales, Meets Sales Goals
  • Excellent Presentation Skills, Professionalism
  • Industry & Trend Awareness, Design Knowledge & Appreciation
