Business Development Associate - New York Metro

We are currently looking for a talented Business Development Associate New York Metro to support the dynamic growth and expansion of our North American market. As Business Development Associate you will uncover new opportunities and support current projects. The primary focus of this position is to drive BuzziSpace sales through relationships with various stakeholder and influencers. 

This position will report to the Regional Sales Manager East and is based in New York City.

  • You boost sales of our acoustics portfolio 
  • You will collaborate within BuzziSpace’s global team to create a positive experience for our partners and current and new customers 
  • In addition, you will be part of our growing team of talented, resilient, hands-on sales members that gets energized by a fast-paced international environment. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and team player with experience developing a sales strategy 

What you’ll do here? 

  • Ensure smooth execution of the sales cycle through a consultative approach 
  • Develop annual strategic plan for territory to meet sales targets 
  • Support and develop an assigned roster of A&D, Dealer, PM Firm & End User accounts 
  • Maintain an active opportunity pipeline of at least 2x sales goal 
  • Achieve expert level BuzziSpace brand and product knowledge 
  • Learn and master all BuzziSpace acoustic tools and presentations 
  • Schedule and execute trainings, site/showroom tours, and marketing events with all stakeholders 
  • Build and sustain industry networks by participating in professional organizations – IIDA, ASID, CoreNet, etc. 
  • Manage opportunity specification, quoting and communication activity in partnership with the High Point Customer Service team 
  • Responsible for completing all standard processes and forms for custom, sampling and large projects 
  • 25% Travel regionally and nationally with requirement for international travel at least one time per year 

We’d love to hear from you if … 

  • You have contract/commercial furniture industry knowledge 
  • You have 5 years sales experience in the contract furniture industry 
  • You hold a Bachelor’s Degree - Marketing, Business or Interior Design or equivalent by experience 
  • You are a go-getter and self motivated to find and drive new business 
  • You are self-organized and able to work autonomously 
  • You have prospecting skills and experience in sales planning 
  • You are eager to meet sales goals 
  • You have excellent presentation skills, are professional, digitally savvy and have MS Office Suite and CRM experience 
  • Industry & Trend Awareness (Contract/commercial furniture Industry knowledge is nice to have), Design Knowledge & Appreciation
