Inside Sales Representative - New York

BuzziSpace is looking for an Inside Sales Representative.

To support our growing sales organization in North America, we are looking for an Inside Sales Representative.

Role and responsibilities

As Inside Sales Representative you are responsible for following up on possible leads together with the field sales team. You proactively contact customers who have outstanding quotes, received samples, downloaded documents from our website, etc. Together with the field sales team, you will also follow up on markets that need special attention.

The position is located in our NYC Sh’Office and closely cooperates with our customer service and logistics team located in High Point (NC) and with our Headquarters in Kontich (Belgium). You will report to our National Sales Director North America, based in NYC.

  • Together with the Field sales team, you will drive sales of BuzziSpace products in North America and ensure high customer satisfaction
  • You are the liaison between our field sales team (RSM, BD, Dealers, Agents), customer service and the customer. You are the single point of contact for customers when needed.
  • You follow-up on potential leads (quotes, samples, loans, mockups, inquiries…) and inform sales, customers service and stakeholders on progress by
    • creating and maintaining a list of leads and prospects through our CRM system (Podio)
    • maintaining our databases of quotes, customers, new sales leads, …
  • You track sales opportunities and assist with forecasting
  • You help formulate project proposals and selling tools and coordinate furniture consignment sales samples when needed
  • You assist our field sales team in following up on custom-made requests and tracking and overseeing of large projects and orders
  • You help with sales training, event planning, showroom visitors, sample packages, and presentations as needed

Your profile

Besides being a fun colleague to work with, we are looking for someone who

  • has a minimum of 5 years’ experience in selling and servicing customers in high-design office and hospitality furnishings  
  • has a strong understanding of sales processes, navigating sales, and service opportunities and issues
  • has the ability to understand the customer’s needs and offer solutions
  • is comfortable and enthusiastic in leading presentations and training sessions
  • is a positive team player who is also able to work independently
  • is detail-oriented, self-motivated, personable, resourceful, a proactive thinker, organized and a good problem solver
  • has a can-do service mentality and a commercial mind
  • is a self-starter, a good planner and able to prioritize workload
  • has excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to call and connect with (potential) customers
  • strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • marketing and graphics past experience is helpful
  • walks the talk regarding “happy and healthy workspaces”
