Product Engineer – Bladel

For our production facility in Bladel, the Netherlands we are currently looking for a talented Product Engineer with a passion for furniture to join our growing team.

What you’ll do here? 

You will work closely together with production to improve existing products as well as introducing new ones, your knowledge of technology, materials and manufacturing methods will be key in making this a success. 

As our Product Engineer you are: 

  • responsible for supporting production, designing, prototyping, testing and ensuring production feasibility through detailed technical drawings and specifications 
  • supporting production on existing products and production techniques 
  • sketching initial internal or external design ideas 
  • identifying the suitability and availability of materials 
  • producing CAD files (SolidWorks), detailed drawings and specifications including parts lists and costs following the general technical guidelines 
  • building and testing prototypes to proof the design concept 
  • gaining expertise and building technical know-how and competences in engineering techniques for wood | metal | acoustic materials | fabrics | upholstery
  • researching new materials or understanding market requirements 
  • liaising with other departments, including Product Management and Operations to discuss and support negotiation of appropriate production processes 
  • presenting design proposals, prototypes, frozen designs to CCO and external designers

We’d love to hear from you if … 

  • You have a master degree in product development or similar through experience 
  • You have a vision for product design with a passion for furniture 
  • You can look back on at least 2 years of proven experience in product development 
  • You have good technical expertise to make it work 
  • You are a 2D and 3D (SolidWorks) expert 
  • You have well developed and effective communication skills: proficiency in English and Dutch is a must
