Product Engineer | Bladel (NL)

• Engineering New Products: Convert concepts from external designers and the BuzziSpace Studio into technically feasible, manufacturable solutions.
• Optimizing Production: Collaborate closely with our production team to refine processes and enhance existing products for efficiency and quality.
• Driving Technical Innovation: Stay ahead of the curve in materials, manufacturing techniques, and engineering technologies.

YOUR TASKS

As a Product Engineer, you will be the technical backbone of our product development process. Your role includes:

• Engineering Design: Translate design concepts into detailed technical plans and ensure feasibility for production.
• CAD & Documentation: Create precise CAD models (SolidWorks), technical drawings, and specifications, including bills of materials and cost estimates, in accordance with engineering standards.
• Prototype Development & Testing: Build and rigorously test prototypes to validate functionality, durability, and manufacturability.
• Material & Process Selection: Identify and evaluate suitable materials and production methods for optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
• Production Integration: Support and train production teams on new products, ensuring smooth implementation and quality control.
• Technical Expertise: Deepen knowledge in engineering techniques for wood, metal, acoustic materials, fabrics, and upholstery.
• Continuous Improvement: Work with Product Management and Operations to optimize existing products and production processes.

You will be part of the Product Development team within the Marketing department, reporting to the Product Development Leader.

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds a master’s degree in product development, industrial design engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Has a strong technical perspective and passion for furniture engineering.
• Brings 1+ years of experience in product development or engineering.
• Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD, especially SolidWorks.
• Communicates effectively in Dutch and English.
• Thrives in a dynamic environment with flexible workloads and changing priorities.
• Embraces a hands-on mentality and problem-solving mindset.
• Is a true team player and willing to travel abroad.
• Promotes “happy and healthy workspaces” in practice.
