When Accenture set out to create its City Campus in Zurich, the goal was clear: design a space that reflects innovation, collaboration, and well-being. Spread across two revitalized buildings in the heart of the city, the new campus offers a blend of heritage and forward-thinking design, combining open collaboration zones, quiet focus areas, and vibrant social spaces.

To bring this vision to life, Evolution Design led the architecture and interior design, weaving in modern workplace strategies while honouring the building’s history. At BuzziSpace, we were proud to play a role by delivering acoustic and furniture solutions that not only enhance comfort but also add to the character and identity of the campus.

Designing for People: A Workplace With Purpose

The Zurich City Campus is a central hub where employees and visitors experience Accenture’s culture of innovation firsthand. Spaces are designed with intent, whether it’s the buzzing cafeteria, lively collaboration hubs, or calm retreat areas.

This mix of atmospheres demanded one critical ingredient: acoustic comfort. Without it, energy quickly turns into distraction. That’s where our acoustic expertise and solutions came in.

BuzziSpace Solutions in Action

Our products were strategically placed throughout the campus to help strike the right balance between openness and privacy.

• BuzziDome and BuzziHat: Suspended acoustic lights bring warmth and sound control to café and dining areas. By absorbing excess noise, they create a welcoming atmosphere where conversations remain clear, even during peak hours.
• BuzziPleat Light: Installed as ceiling and lighting features, these sculptural panels double as bold design statements while softening reverberation in collaborative zones.
• BuzziGrid: Deployed in meeting rooms, breakout spaces, and semi-open zones to provide speech privacy and zoning. 

Together, these solutions ensure that each area of the campus supports its intended use, lively where it should be, calm where it needs to be.
