Designing for Dialogue: Lisbon Council’s Acoustic Makeover

Located in the heart of Brussels, the Lisbon Council for Economic Competitiveness and Social Renewal asbl has been a leading think tank and policy network since 2003. Focused on addressing the economic and social challenges of the 21st century, the organization required a workplace that supports focused work, collaboration, and clear communication.

Set within the historic Residence Palace, the refurbishment balanced architectural heritage with the demands of a modern office where acoustics play a crucial role.

Color-Coded Spaces with Purpose

Each room features a distinct theme colour, reflecting the diverse topics discussed within the organization. This approach creates visual identity, improves spatial orientation, and subtly defines zones for focused work, meetings, and collaborative dialogue.

The result is a workplace that feels intuitive, engaging, and aligned with the Lisbon Council’s culture of openness and exchange.

Acoustic Design at the Core

To enhance comfort without compromising the historic interior, our acoustic solutions were carefully integrated throughout the space:
